If you are using the hugely popular Astra WordPress Theme (with the Astra Pro Plugin installed) and are wondering how you can turn off the header and or footers on your pages or posts, then here is a simple tutorial that explains how to do it easily and quickly. An Elementor tutorial is also included (see bottom of this page) for those users who are using the Elementor Page Builder plugin.
If you aren’t already using the Astra theme and or Astra Pro Plugin and you are an existing website client of ours (...or if you want us to build/revamp your website...) and you would like to use them then we can install them on your website for you.
Instructions:
- Open the page or post that you wish to edit, and then open the Astra side panel that manages all the Astra Settings – it’s located in the top-right area of your screen (next to the page/post settings icon). Click on the Astra icon to open the settings panel.
- Go to the “Page Elements” section, and then click on the radio buttons to enable or disable the headers and footer on that particular page or post.
- Press “Save” and you are done!

AN ALTERNATIVE METHOD FOR WEBSITES USING THE (FREE) ELEMENTOR PAGE BUILDER PLUGIN:
- Open the page or post that you wish to edit, and then change the page/post template settings to “Elementor Canvas” Template.
- Press “Save” and you are done!
- NOTE: You don’t even have to open up the page/post in order to change templates with this method – You can also use the “Quick Edit” option (which is available when viewing the pages or posts lists within your WordPress administration area – just hover your mouse over any page or post in the list and select the “quick Edit” option to open up the quick edit). As before, just change the template and then press “Save”.
